Venezuela A hidden treasure

Venezuela is located North of South America. It is a country full of beauties and contrasts. You can either enjoy its beaches, mountains, plains and nature. It is a cultural melting pot  and this has created a country to discover . Let us show you this hidden treasure in South America.

Day 01 - Caracas

Let us meet you at the airport and transfer you by a private car to your comfortable hotel in the capital. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 02 - Caracas

Today, after a breakfast you will discover one of the most cosmopolitan cities of Latin America. With a full day tour, you will have a comprehensive tour of the city. You will visit some of the historical buildings, the residential areas as well as the colonial charming village called “El Hatillo”. A light lunch will be included today. In the afternoon, enjoy the best panoramic view of the valley from the cable car located in the main mountain of the city, El Avila National Park. Return to your hotel and in the evening, you will be transferred to one of the many excellent restaurants of the city for a great dinner.

Day 03 - Caracas - Colonia Tovar

Early this morning, our guide will take you about 60 kilometers west of Caracas. There, you will find one of the most charming and unexpected places in the country, La Colonia Tovar . A small German town in Venezuela.  Its habitants came from little towns like Wyhl, Edingen and Oberbergen of Kaiserstuhl and established  themselves in these beautiful mountains in 1843. For many years, they remained isolated from the rest of the country, and for that reason, they were able to keep many of their ancestral traditions for many generations. Let’s enjoy the gastronomic experience in a traditional restaurant established since 1938. Exquisite dishes and good wines will delight you. At the end of the day, return to Caracas.

Day 04 - Caracas - El Consejo, Aragua

About an hour and a half west from Caracas, the oldest hacienda dedicated to the production and commercialization of aged rums is located. The Hacienda is today owned by the Vollmer Family, who transformed the property from a sugar cane farm and mill into one of Venezuela’s most modern agro – industrial complexes that currently yields more than 28.000 tons of sugarcane in addition of housing a distillery that ages, blends and refines dark luxury rums. 
The perfect tour starts upon arrival and by discovering the history of the hacienda in a video. After this,  will continue with a private visit to the exclusive warehouse where the barrels property of artists, agent chief executives, ex- presidents and Peace Nobel prizes people are kept.  Also, you will see the area where the super rum Premium is aged since 1796. There is a Gourmet Coffee plantation and you will be able to see it and taste the coffee. This is used for the elaboration of a mixed liquor of rum and coffee. Finally, the distillery and the bottled area. At the end of the visit a gastronomic Venezuelan nouvelle cuisine lunch is included. The restaurant is perfectly located in the gardens of the train station that is inside the hacienda. Together with the menu you will enjoy the beautiful views of the golf course, the Chaguaramos and other plants trees typical from the place. During lunch, a Rum tasting will be enjoyed. Return to Caracas at the end of the day.

Day 05 - Caracas - Barquisimeto (Carora)

Check out from your hotel in Caracas and private transfer to the airport to take your plane to Barquisimeto. Arrival in Barquisimeto and transfer to Carora to check in at your hotel. Barquisimeto is the capital of the Lara state in the west central of the country. Barquisimeto is now a modern city, with the fourth largest number of inhabitants of all Venezuelan cities. It is important as a center of communications, agriculture and industries of the central and western part of the country. In Barquisimeto, as in most Venezuelan cities, there is an interesting mix of colonial and modern architecture. After arrival and check in you will be taken to the winery where an enologist will give you the first contact with the wine in this area. You will see how the regular wines and sparkling wines are elaborated. A tasting will take place and a gourmet menu served with the local wines and life music will make an unforgettable evening.

Day 06 - Barquisimeto

Let’s enjoy this day since the beginning with a typical breakfast from the area. After this, our  guide will take us thru a brief historical route. In the Culture House of the Carora town, we will meet with the local musicians to enjoy a snack and a drink and continue to visit where native artists produce musical instruments such as cuatros, guitars and harps. Also, handcrafts and artisan pieces made of wood and leather can be observed and purchased.
We will continue to a vineyard where we will enjoy the different stages of the grapevine and will have a barbeque lunch with beef, rabbit, lamb and pork. Local music will make our afternoon memorable. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 07 - Barquisimeto (Carora) - Caracas

Private departure transfer to the airport to flight back to Caracas. Arrival and transfer to your hotel. Day at leisure for personal activities and some shopping if desired. In the evening, a farewell dinner will take place with a gastronomic experience in one of the best restaurants of Caracas.

Day 08 - Caracas

At a convenient time, private departure transfer to the airport to flight back home or to any of the other Venezuelan destinations.
