Porto Wine City

Porto will always be a synonym for wine, so we began the day with a visit at the cellars located in Vila Nova de Gaia. These cellars date from 1588. They are the oldest ones in the region.

We will enjoy the views of the Douro river remembering the arrivals of those traditional boats that brought the barrels of the Alto Douro for storing, selling and shipping them to other countries many centuries ago. We will walk to visit one of these boats "Rebelos". Will cross the bridge D. Louis to immerse ourselves in the colorful great city that gives its name to the wine. Some of the main icon places to visit will be the Tower of Clerics, Palacio da Bolsa and Customs Buildings.

After lunch, in the afternoon, the day ends with a toast over this city. We will eat a Francesinha with a great cup of coffee.
